Symptoms & Diagnosis

Vaginal discharge is any fluid that comes from the vagina. Usually, this fluid is clear or white. Vaginal discharge can mean there’s a problem with your reproductive health, such as an infection, certain cancers or menopause. Vaginal symptoms, such as spotting between periods and burning during urination, are not normal.

Bleeding is a normal part of your menstrual cycle before menopause. However, vaginal bleeding or discharge that is different or unusual should be reported to your healthcare provider. Don’t try to treat the problem yourself.

Examinations and investigations

Our gynecologists and uro-gynecologists are specialized in pelvic pain. They are able to diagnose the cause of the pain, which can then be treated. Tests often include pelvic examinations, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and, in some cases, diagnostic laparoscopy. Treatment will depend on the cause of the pain.
